Aim to create value for all stakeholders. Click To TweetIn other words, they, like Barry-Wehmiller, aim to create value for all stakeholders.

We were honored when Raj accepted our invitation to visit two Barry-Wehmiller subsidiaries in Wisconsin, PCMC and MarquipWardUnited, to get an up close view of our culture and Truly Human Leadership model.

Afterward, we sat down with him to hear his observations…

Truly Human Leadership is found throughout Barry-Wehmiller Companies, where Bob Chapman is Chairman and CEO. A $3+ billion global capital equipment and engineering consulting firm, Barry-Wehmiller’s 12,000 team members are united around a common belief: we can use the power of business to build a better world. Chapman explores that idea in his Wall Street Journal best-selling book, Everybody Matters: The Extraordinary Power of Caring For Your People Like Family, available from Penguin Random House.

Definitely inspirational. Few companies REALLY believe in their own people, and even fewer actually CARES for them. I am proud of being part of the BW family.

The challange is bringing this model OUTSIDE of BW, where the typical capitalistic outlook still reigns supreme, and where almost everyone actually suffers!

    Thank you

This is nice to hear more about people instead of just the business side. This is where Barry-Wehmiller is headed for thinking about the people. Well said.

  • Rod Waara says:

This concept of truly human leadership is what we need in the world. We need our political, military, and business leaders to understand and accept this concept for the good of all of us. The point of considering the needs and value of the stakeholders along with the shareholders is a powerful concept. It is about business succeeding in the long term and not just the short term. It is about succeeding by making a positive contribution for all concerned. This is simply stated in the guiding principles of leadership “We measure success by the way we touch the lives of people.”

  • This is well worth listening to, over and over again. Raj Sisodia describes key points of truly human leadership and the phenomenal results for people and business at Barry Wehmiller. This interview affirms my unwavering belief in humanity. Human beings create our organizations so we are the ones to bring the humanity back into our businesses. Barry-Wehmiller’s leadership model so poignantly demonstrates that we can build and sustain successful businesses around the love and care of the people.
